Stories available

Almost all of my fiction is available on the Internet. I'm a great beilever in easy access to fan fiction, as I have spent a lot of time as a student with little cash, and a desperate fanfic habit. Feeding it was not easy. The following stories are available at The Aquitar Files, the most impressive Blake's 7 webzine around (and I'm not just saying that because they published my stories). Their taglines for the stories are much better than mine, as well.

Decline and Fall: After Justin's death, Vila tries to comfort Dayna. This is a rewrite of my first piece of fanfiction, which went missing when I moved house. Written to prove something good can come from Animals.

A Life Closed Twice: Anna's side of the story. Anna Grant is just great to write for - a really sharp and intelligent female character. And everyone has to write an Anna story...

Five Days: Just what was everyone else doing when Avon was waiting for Shrinker? I love doing these multiple viewpoint stories.

A Little Knowledge: Idea shamelessly nicked from my friend Fiona Haggart. She and I spent many nights well into the wee small hours plotting this one. I hope it's true to her vision for it. Again, multiple viewpoint, but big, big, big!

Poetry

Refractions is a multi-media zine of particularly excellent quality in terms of both content and production. The editor, Kathryn Andersen, was kind enough to publish a coukple of my poems, hacked out when I was eighteen.

Symbiosis appears in Refractions 2, out of print, but available in PDF format. Instructions here. This issue also contains one of my favourite B7 stories, 'Irregularity' by Russ Massey.

Elegy and You Never Let Me Go are in Refractions 3: further information and ordering details here.

Sketches

A long time ago, in a galaxy... No, wrong one. Once upon time, Una McCormack attended a planning session for a forthcoming convention. Talk turned to the cabaret. 'Don't worry,' sez Una, 'Me and some mates will rattle up a sketch and call ourselves the Reduced Blake's 7 Company.' Twisting the arm of my SO and shamelessly pumping the egos of two friends to get them to take part, many improv sessions followed, and the result was bloody great. You can read the script and laugh at the pictures here. This, of course, was a shared writing experience with the rest of the performers. God knows what we'll do next time.

Work in progress/in production

Under the Influence: Written for a mailing list; will be published in the forthcoming zine Star Four. Other submissions are being sought for this zine.

Headshots: Started life as a tiny vignette to fulfil a desire to write for Methos (a character in Highlander), this is turning into a beast.

Born to the Purple: Not so much in progress as in hiatus. My first attempt at a murder mystery,
