seven deadly haikus

charity

giving of oneself
need not be a selfless act
if one is driven

courage

blinded by their love
the courage of the faithful
leads them to their deaths

diligence

a thief may be more
than a fool with a toolkit -
practice makes perfect

fidelity

one can never find
the most loyal friend until
it is far too late

honesty

where honesty fails
is in the emotions of
those who hear the truth

humility

one is brought low by
sight of oneself in others -
a double-edged gift

purity

is it not strange that
purest motives are found in
something inhuman?
